Local Resources

Campaigns

Our Mornington Peninsula Water Safety Alliance (MPWSA) was formed in response to concerning drowning statistics, which have made the Mornington Peninsula the highest-risk region in Victoria. To address this, MPWSA has brought together local councils, emergency services, aquatic organisations, and community groups in a united effort to improve water safety. Our primary goal is to reduce drownings by enhancing infrastructure, delivering education programs, advocating for water safety initiatives, and promoting key safety messages at local, state, and national levels. By sharing these assets by way of your organisation will play a vital role in reinforcing these important messages within our local region and wider communities that visit.

We encourage you to follow our asset terms and conditions of use to maximise the impact of this water safety initiative.

RISK TAKING

Jumping off a pier or jetty can feel exhilarating, but it’s important to remember that the thrill comes with risk. Before you leap, check the water depth, watch out for hidden obstacles, and know the dangers

Don’t let a moment turn into a lifetime.

INFLUENCERS

That stunning beach photo on social media might look perfect, but the reality behind the lens could be very different. Before entering the water, always check the conditions – currents, tides, and potential hazards. What looks like paradise can often have hidden dangers.
